SQLAuthority News – Author Visit – South Asia MVP Open Day 2008 – Goa – Day 1

Day 1 of MVP Open Day 2008 in Goa was a wonderful start to the event. It went even better than I had hoped.

Yesterday I shared the agenda for South Asia MVP Open Day at Hotel Kenilworth Resorts. November 15, the first day, began with a flight to Goa. It ended with a Goan-themed beach party with fellow MVPs.

I’ve taken hundreds of photographs and will share some of them here.

First, I’d like to thank four people whose support helped make this event possible:

I enjoyed meeting each of them, and I’m grateful for the effort they put into the event. Howard and I were on the same flight from Mumbai to Goa. We also had a good conversation about Open Day on the way to the hotel.

Hotel Kenilworth Resort is beautiful, with the Goan beach right beside it. The photographs below give you a better idea of the setting than words alone can.

After an introduction to the program, we saw a Windows 7 demonstration and enjoyed a Goan-themed beach party. Open Space presentations followed, with MVPs sharing their knowledge with fellow MVPs. Those sessions began at midnight, which gives you an idea of how full our days were!
