It was a great pleasure to write latest series about Data Warehousing Interview Questions and Answers. Just like always again, I received lots of suggestion and follow up questions. I have tried to accommodate all of them in the last post in the series. I hope this series is helpful to all candidates who are seeking a job as well interviewers. I have combined all the questions and answers in the one PDF which is available to download and refer at convenience.

Dave, this is a great post about Data warehousing with your series of questions and answers.
I am currently working on my company’s database and would like to share my experience. I tend to use Open Source programs to manage my database: mainly Pentaho and Talend Open Studio.
I prefer Talend Open Studio as it is user-friendly (I especially like the tmap component in Open Studio), has a good GUI and makes it possible to perform data integration without being an expert.
The tool also has an active community able to help you out. Maybe you should try it?
thats a great job
Hi.
there is always a question for me.
for example i have a big database like a bank.
how can i manage this database.how can i archive this.
how to sotre these data.how to search any data from this database.and how can i make reports of this database.
is this a right way to sotre all data in a single database and make reports from it.
it may No. it may i must manage data warehause.
please help me and diccuse about this.
thanks more dear friends. (akbar_mansoori2000@yahoo.com)
Hi Akbar,
What I could propose is to look at some software to work on your database. Sorting, searching or making reports on a database isn’t always very easy and can take some time if the software you use isn’t adapted to large databases.
As Truster writes above, I would advise you using an open source softwre like Talend open studio. It is adapted to large databases and can perform other actions on your database. And it is open source, meaning it is free to download. Its a good data warehousing solution.
thank you a very good post it helped me a lot
