    Dear Pinal,

    Few years back somebody has installed SQL 2005 Standarad edition on one of the server and now due to HDD corruption I need to reinstall the SQL again but I do not have serial key with me. Earlier it was install licenses version but the key is lost so please let me know is there anyway to recover the KEY.

    I had used the command which was there on your site but I am getting the error given below

    Msg 22001, Level 15, State 0, Line 0
    Error executing Read extended stored procedure: Invalid Predefined Registry system Key
