Hello Pinal Dave,
I am working as web developer in asp.net since 2 and half year.Now i don’t feel confident that i have that much knowledge that 2.1/5 yrs developer should have and i am planning to apply for abroad job in asp.net. I want to know what knowledge should require for asp.net developer for applying asp.net developer in abroad and qualification and right now i am doing MCA last year and any guidance you can give me for being good asp.net developer. Hopefully you can give me some input for making my career.

How to install SQL server Named Instance , because during installations whenever i choose option of Named Instance and give name then it adds System name with this
like System\ServerInstance.
Can i install an instance with Name only without System Name like ‘ServerInstance’
or can i rename existing instance

I write the below query :
select
EmpCode,
31-(PaidLeave+UnPaidLeave)AS PRESENT,
PaidLeave,
UnPaidLeave
from
tblEmpAttendanceTimeSheet
where Month(AttendDate)=01
and Year(AttendDate)=2009
group by EmpCode,PaidLeave,UnPaidLeave
When I execute the above query I got the resule as follows
Result :
EmpCode Present Days PaidLeave UnPaidLeave
EM0001 31
EM0001 30 1
EM0002 31
EM0002 30 1
EM0003 31
EM0005 31
EM0014 31
Here the Emp0001 and EMP002 IS REPEATING
I need these empcode needs to be displed only once
please suggest me a way

The GROUP BY is create groups based on all three COLUMNs, which are indeed different.
To only get one line, remove the final two COLUMNs in the GROUP BY, and use aggragate FUNCTIONs to get the numbers you want, like SUM().

I just want to know from u, can we set the database restoration job? If yes how it can be possible?
And also want to know, i.e. I m restoring the transaction log. How I restore the transaction Log?
