I read it as " degree of parallelism value can be set at server level and also for individual query or index statements".
I want to know more about the difference between these two settings. which is the best practice.?
Suppose we have done both these settings.Which setting will be taken by the server?
And Also want to know about the importance to have a MAXDOP setting...

Thanks and Regards

Hi Pinal Sir,

That sounds pretty cool..!!!!
I studied some thing about Parallel Process's.This is one of my favorite subject.
These can cover under this topic.

How to use stored procedures 'sp_configure' to configure parallel processing and how they works on multiple servers...??
How to do parallelism settings..???
CPU's working on 32/64 bit and their classifications
Light weight pooling(Windows Fibers Concept).
