		<description><![CDATA[This is pretty dated but anyway, Oracle may have a say in MYSQL destiny but it is not as huge as it seems. MySQL has been forked to form Drizzle awhile ago by founders of MySQL who thought that releasing v. 5.1 was premature and quit Sun, creating their own version of db using MySQL codebase. Additionally, a new open database foundation is brewing called MariaDB with the rest of the MySQL team to create a community-maintained db which Oracle has no control over. But reading documents both on Sun&#039;s and Oracle&#039;s site say that future announcements are forthcoming and both companies may operate as separate parties.]]></description>
