Pinal,

Unless you already have a SQLRAP scheduled with Microsoft through your TAM, the scoping tool isn't really useful. It just pulls basic configuration information from your server to be sent to your TAM to ensure that your environment configuration will allow the PFE to perform a SQLRAP when they arrive. The report will point out any changes that will be required ahead of the PFE's arrival to ensure that the SQLRAP data gathering can be completed in the time allotted.

Now if you've never had a SQLRAP performed I'd highly recommend it. You will walk away from it with more information than you ever thought possible and a new way of looking at your SQL Servers from Microsoft recommended Best Practice standpoints.
